Welcome to ALMO 2025

The Algerian Mathematical Olympiad (ALMO) is a prestigious national mathematics competition designed for high school students across Algeria. Organized annually, ALMO serves as a platform to identify and nurture the most talented young mathematicians in the country. It aims not only to promote mathematical excellence but also to inspire a deep appreciation for the beauty and rigor of mathematical thinking among students.

ALMO is held in alignment with the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) syllabus, covering key areas such as algebra, geometry, number theory, and combinatorics. The competition challenges students with creative, non-standard problems that test their problem-solving skills, logical reasoning, and mathematical ingenuity; well beyond the typical school curriculum.

Top-performing students in ALMO are selected for further training and may earn the opportunity to represent Algeria in prestigious international competitions such as the IMO, the Pan-African Mathematics Olympiad (PAMO), and other global math contests.

Through ALMO, Algeria strengthens its commitment to excellence in STEM education and contributes to the international mathematical community by cultivating a new generation of problem solvers, thinkers, and innovators.
